Borage is very attractive to bees so will encourage them into your garden.

Leaves may be harvested at any time, and the flowers when they are fully open

The beautiful blue flowers can be used in salads to add the flavour of cucumber and even in summer drinks. the leaves can also be used and have the same cucumber flavour. Add the leaves or the flowers to an ice cold glass of water to make an especially refreshing drink for the summer - try freezing flowers in ice cubes for a pretty effect! The leaves can also be added to a nice glass of Pimms!
